Psychonaut Records 2021 reissue. Nighttime Birds is the fourth full-length studio album by Dutch alternative rock/metal band The Gathering, released on June 6, 1997 by Century Media Records. The album was recorded at Woodhouse Studios, Hagen, Germany between Feb. 17 – March 15, 1997 under the guidance of producer Siggi Bemm and The Gathering. Nighttime Birds was a logical follow-up to Mandylion and breathed the same atmosphere.
